Leprechaun Mystery
Did you know that some people say that they have seen leprechauns? Well you probably said that there was no way. Here are some facts about leprechauns. If you stare a leprechaun in the eyes they can’t escape. Leprechauns were cobblers or shoemakers. Leprechauns have to give you their gold if you catch them. The past holds many secrets. There are many unsolved historical mysteries that continue to interest people today. This paper will attempt to solve the mystery of leprechauns by examining new and old evidence and resources.
Leprechauns lived in the time before the Vikings came to Ireland. When the Vikings came some fled others went into hiding. When leprechauns fled most went to America because no one lived there yet. Leprechauns are small dwarfs with quick wits."leprechauns-One of a race of elves in Irish folklore who can reveal hidden treasure to those who catch them"(dictionary.com).
The last the sighting was in 2006 by a whole neighborhood. The neighborhood claimed to see a small man in green running in the street. There are artifacts that might be the leprechauns in Ireland. There have been many sightings of leprechauns.The last sighting was in Mobile, Alabama and they said the leprechaun was in a tree. "Abundant evidence now exists to demonstrate that the leprechaun flourished in oral tradition before the 19th century" (answers.com).
Some things prove that leprechauns aren’t real. There are no written facts or papers saying that they exist. "In most tales and stories leprechauns are depicted as generally harmless creatures who enjoy solitude and live in remote locations, while in others they are depicted as ill-natured and mischievous, with a mind for cunning" (wikipedia). Also, they are in the fairy category. So, people think of fairy tales that are fake so they think that leprechauns are fake. Most facts say that leprechauns are not real because one has never been caught before.
